What are the benefits of ReFirme therapy?

ReFirme is a safe, non-invasive, therapy that dramatically repairs  skin laxity and reduces fine lines. This new and exciting treatment option leaves skin smoother, firmer, and more youthful without the risks and recovery required by surgical procedures. Results are natural looking and require a minimal amount of maintenance to keep you looking your best.

How does ReFirme treatment work?

ReFirme utilizes the latest advances in aesthetic restoration technology to tighten the skin while restoring volume and contour through the production of new collagen. ReFirme is the only skin tightening treatment that combines the use of both infrared light and radio frequency technology to significantly improve the skin’s tone and elasticity.

When applied to the skin, the infrared light heats the tissue of the skin. The heat acts as a conductor to allow the radio frequency to penetrate the dermal layers more deeply and easily.  As the radio frequency energy permeates the tissues it causes the skin to contract and tighten while stimulating collagen production for a period of at least 90 days, a process called Collagen Remodeling.  As the collagen continues to reproduce, you will notice significant improvements in the tone and contour of your skin as it becomes tighter and firmer.

Is ReFirme safe?

ReFirme is a safe, non-invasive therapy approved by the FDA. There is little or no risk of serious complications from ReFirme treatment. In very rare cases, some may experience swelling around the treated area. The most common side effects experienced by our clients are redness and mild tenderness in treated areas. All of these side effects are temporary and should disappear within a few days.

How long does the treatment take?

The length of the treatment time depends on the area treated. In general, treatment time is approximately 45 minutes. Following the treatment, no recovery time is necessary and you will be able to return to your daily activities. As a result, you can easily schedule your ReFirme treatment during your lunch hour or between other appointments.

Is the ReFirme treatment painful?

Because of the combination of infrared light and radio frequency energy used in ReFirme therapy, the treatment is painless.  No sedation is required, only an application of topical anesthetic cream may be used to keep sensitive clients completely comfortable during the treatment.

How many treatments will I need to see results?

While many clients experience an immediate improvement, an initial series of three treatments is recommended for clients to receive the optimal results of ReFirme therapy. Advanced skin laxity may require five treatments.  Ideally, treatments will be administered once every 30 days for three months. This treatment plan has been proven to achieve more dramatic and longer lasting results.

How long will ReFirme last?

Following ReFirme treatment, we recommend that you practice meticulous skin care to maintain results. This includes avoiding excessive sun and UV exposure, using our BelleDerm Cell Turnover Treatment gentle cleanser and Hydration Crème with Sunscreen hydrating moisturizer. Conscientious skin care extends the effects of Collagen Remodeling, maximizing the benefits of the ReFirme treatment and will ultimately increase the length of time between maintenance sessions. In most cases, you can enjoy the results of ReFirme therapy for up to 18-24 months before recommended twice yearly maintenance treatments are needed.
